I have been blessed to work at Crossroads now for 17 years! Over that time, I have had many roles. Currently, I am the SERVE director. I grew into this role through the many service and mission opportunities I have participated in here at Crossroads. Through those experiences I have learned that serving others and meeting people right where they are, is how transformation takes place!
I have a real passion for serving children and social justice issues. I tutor in the DC Public Schools once a week through Crossroads’ DC Tutor Program. I am on the Cornelius Corps Advisory board, a nonprofit committed to spiritual formation and racial justice and reconciliation. I have also led 3 missions to Panajachel, Guatemala to help construct homes for indigenous families. Being with those on the margins is where I feel called to serve.
I live in Ashburn with my husband, Bill, and have 2 grown daughters who amaze me every day with their compassion for others and commitment to support social justice issues in the community and world. As a family we are avid NHL hockey fans and are so proud of our Washington Capitals 2018 Stanley Cup Champions!
If you feel called to serve in our ongoing or seasonal missions, I encourage you to do so. If you would like to discuss a new mission opportunity you are feeling called to lead, I would love to meet with you.
