Anxious to Talk About It
A Racial Reconciliation Book-Study Discussion Group
(Online Via Zoom)
July 20th - August 24
“Wait… We’re talking about what? I’m not sure I want to do that.” When it comes to discussing racism, many white people are overwhelmed with anxiety, leading to a fight-or-flight response. If you see yourself in the above statement, join Crossroads’ new Racial Reconciliation book discussion. This 6 week, hour long, book-study style discussion group is based on the book Anxious to Talk About It by pastor and professor Carolyn B. Helsel. Her short book draws on her successful experiences with white congregations and offers us tools to embrace and explore these anxious feelings and more faithfully engage in crucial conversations.
