Middle schoolers\, high schoolers\, parents\, siblings: this one is for the whole family. \n\n0Days\n0Hours\n0Minutes\n0Seconds\nuntil we meet in the church parking lot \nSave Our Spots\n\n        $5 per person\n        Sign up by Wed\, July 15\n        Lifeguards on duty\n      \n\n\n   \n\n\nThe Plan for the Day\nOne easy rhythm: meet at church\, roll out together\, soak up the lake\, and get everyone home for dinner. \n\n8:30 am\nMeet at Crossroads UMC (43454 Crossroads Dr\, Ashburn). Check in\, find your carpool\, load up. \n\n8:45 am\nCaravan departs. Sharp. The drive is about 65 minutes\, so on-time really matters. \n\n10:00 am\nToes in the sand at Greenbrier State Park (21843 National Pike\, Boonsboro MD). \n\n11:00 am\nLifeguards go on duty at the swimming beach (they stay on until 6:00 pm). \n\n12:00 pm\nCookout lunch\, hot off the grill. \n\nAfternoon\nBeach games\, swimming\, and hangout time until we pack up. \n\n3:00 pm\nPack up and caravan home. \n\n4:10 pm\nBack at Crossroads for pickup (give or take traffic). \n\n\nDriving separately? Plan to meet us at the Greenbrier beach around 10:00 am. Your day-use pass will be reserved under our group as long as you are registered by July 15. \nAdd to Google Calendar\n\n\n   \n\n\nWhy We Caravan\nThe 65 minutes to the lake are not wasted time. They are part of the day. Here is why we want as many people carpooling as possible. \n\n\nMore Room for Friends\nEvery open seat means another student can come\, even if their family cannot make the drive that day. \n \n\nParents Share the Driving\nSplit the wheel time with other families. Drive one way\, ride the other\, or take a Saturday off entirely. \n \n\nThe Caravan Is Half the Fun\nPlaylists\, snacks\, car games\, and rolling into the park together as one big crew. Trust us on this one. \n \nThe registration form asks whether you can drive (and how many open seats you have)\, whether you need a ride\, or whether you are meeting us there. We will match riders with drivers before the 18th. \n \n\n\n   \n\n\nWhat to Bring\nPack light\, pack smart. Here is the whole list. \n\nSwimsuit (wear it or pack it)\nTowel\nSunscreen\nWater bottle\nA nut-free snack for the road\nCamp chair or beach blanket\n\nLunch is covered. We will have the grill\, the sides\, and the drinks at the lake. \n \n\n\n   \n\n\nCost and Deadline\n\n\n          $5 \nPer Person\nEveryone attending counts\, students and adults alike. It helps cover park day-use passes and the cookout. \n \n\n          Wed\, July 15 \nSign-Up Deadline\nGreenbrier requires advance reservations for weekend day-use passes\, and we reserve passes for everyone registered. After the 15th we cannot guarantee your family a spot at the gate. \n \nOne thing to know\, said with love: per church policy\, payments made within two weeks of an event cannot be refunded. Since sign-ups close just three days before Lake Day\, that means your $5 per person is non-refundable once paid.
