Saturday Storytelling - A Benefit Concert to Help Hurricane Victims

Saturday Storytelling - A Benefit Concert to Help Hurricane Victims

Saturday Sept. 30, 2017 area musical artists will present a benefit concert of pop music performances to raise funds to aid the relief efforts for whose lives have been disrupted by hurricanes Harvey and Irma. These talented students and adults are giving generously of their time and their talent to provide an evening of great entertainment with a greater purpose.

The concert is being organized by area Vocal Coach and Singer Tina Smothers. She was moved by the plight of suffering to suggest a benefit concert and immediately rose to the challenge of organizing it. The concert will feature solo and ensemble performances by some of the best known performers in our area.

This free concert is open to the public and starts at 7:00 pm. This is the second part of our two part effort to provide ways for our community to lend support to those who continue to face the challenges of reclaiming their homes and lives after the devastation of these two recent hurricanes. On Tuesday, through your generosity and compassion Crossroads delivered 200 buckets of cleaning supplies to an UMCOR warehouse in Richmond where supplies are being collected for delivery to Texas and Florida in the coming weeks and months. Many thanks to the community for rallying so quickly behind this important effort to serve our neighbors.

For more concert info visit the Crossroads website or contact Tina Smothers directly.

Please invite your friends and neighbors and come out to support these artists and enjoy a fantastic evening of music.

All activities are cancelled through

March 22 to take the necessary precautions against COVID19.

Your well-being is our main concern.

Thank you.
