*This month's picks are best suited for ages middle school and up. We will return to all ages options in July with our movie night celebrating summer!

Snacks are provided and viewers are welcome to bring their own favorites. Join us to watch one of three films in different locations of the church:

The Half of It (2020)- In this queer teen rom-com, Ellie ghostwrites papers and essays for the kids in her high school for a low, low fee. But when she’s conscripted by local jock Paul to write him love letters to Aster, one of the prettiest girls in school, Ellie doesn't expect to become his friend - or fall for his crush.

Milk (2008)- A biographical film based on the life of gay rights activist and politician Harvey Milk, who was the first openly gay person to be elected to public office in California. Milk’s platform was and is one of hope – a hero’s legacy that resonates in the here and now.

Saturday Church (2017)- A musical-drama about 14 year-old Ulysses, who struggles with gender identity and religion, and begins to use fantasy to escape his life in the inner city and find his passion in the process. Ulysses must find the courage to be who he truly is, all while risking losing those he cares about most. The concept is loosely based on the LGBTQ+ outreach program, Art & Acceptance, at St Luke in the Fields located in the West Village, NYC.

Registration is helpful so that you can receive a reminder email but it is not required. Walk-ins are welcome! Email Erin Videgar-Laird with any questions.
