Advent Message Series: Christmas Surprise
The weeks before Christmas can be full old routines and ancient traditions.
But the first Christmas came in a way that interrupted people’s lives. This
December we will talk about the ways God is still coming into the world in
the most surprising ways.

Week 1: Caught by Surprise (Micah 5:1-5a)

Week 2: Hope in Surprise (Luke 1:8-21)

Week 3: Taken by Surprise (Matthew 1:18-23

Week 4: The Tension of Surprise (Luke 1:39-56)

Christmas Eve: The Surprise of Christmas (Luke 2:1-20)

We will have two small groups meeting during Advent:

  • The Journey Advent Study Wednesdays, November 30th – December 21st in Ryan Chapel (outside the sanctuary) or by Zoom, 6pm-7pm
This Advent study will follow The Journey: Walking the Road to Bethlehem by Adam Hamilton. It will be led by Jessie and Stefan Belzer. The book follows those most prominent during the birth of Jesus and their backgrounds and travels before Christmas day. This is an open study for anyone who is interested.
  • Christmas Surprise Series Discussion Mondays, November 28th – December 19th in Ryan Chapel (outside the sanctuary) or by Zoom, 6pm-7pm
This is a small group centered around the Advent sermon series Pastor Tim is focusing on during the holiday season. We will be focusing on topics including hope, surprises, God’s blessings, and more. This is an open discussion for anyone who is interested in participating.

Email Casey Akers at cakers@crossroadsnova.org with any questions.
