Join Us!

Kid’s Ministry at Crossroads inspires children and families to “love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as you love yourself.” Through worship, prayer, special activities, and service projects, children will know they are uniquely loved and called to be shining lights in the world. Join us on Sunday mornings at 10:00am for KidVenture or Nursery Care to be a part of the fun!

Graham Horvath

Next Gen/Kids Associate Director

I went to South Lakes High School and I am finishing my degree at UMGC where I am studying marketing. I am the middle child of two sisters and I was born and raised in the northern Virginia area. I started at Crossroads on August 1st, 2022 and am so incredibly excited to be here. Currently, my top three hobbies are gaming, lifting, and racing (both watching and participating).

Something I am trying to get better at: lifting. I know the basics but I am focused on improving technique and strength. My goal is to be able to understand it well enough to create my own workouts.

My idea of a perfect day: spend it all outside, enjoying a warm sun and a cool breeze with various activities such as a fun game or a nice walk.

My favorite Bible verse is the one I have tattooed over my heart:Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” 1 Tim 4:12 NIV

Kids Programs

Nursery Care

(Infant- 3 years old/not in preschool) Babies and toddlers are invited to the Nursery Room for care and play with our childcare staff during the worship service.

(preschool – 5th grade) A fun hour with group worship, prayer, a bible story, and a meaningful activity all centered around our theme verse, “love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as you love yourself.”

Passages for Kids & Families

In this special family passage, each child is marked as God’s Beloved, just as Jesus was marked in his own baptism. This passage invites each of us to open our hearts to remember that God’s love and grace are present with each of us always. It also reminds us to have the wonder, the spontaneity, and the faith of a child.

4th Grade Bible Celebration

We will be presenting an age-appropriate Bible to 4th graders in the fall during the worship service. Following the service, there will be a celebration lunch in the Fellowship Hall.

Our 4th graders will meet for special class, “Adventure into the Bible”, during KidVenture where we will learn what this book is all about, and how to navigate our way through it. Contact Graham Horvath with any questions.

Moving from Elementary School to Middle School is an important transition time for students, families, and their community. This is a time for families to recognize their child’s growing independence and offer a blessing of support and encouragement.

We celebrate how each child has been formed and continues to be shaped by their own innate gifts and unique story. Here at Crossroads, it is also a time of moving up from Children’s Ministries as a child to Student Ministries as an adolescent.
