Kids
Kids Ministry at Crossroads inspires children and families to “love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as you love yourself.” Through prayer, special activities, and service projects, children will know they are uniquely loved and called to be shining lights in the world.
Kids Ministry and nursery care are available during both our 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM services.
- Nursery: Infant–36 months
- Kids Ministry Classes: Preschool–5th Grade
If your child would prefer to stay with you during the worship service, they are always welcome! Children joining their families in the service will receive a special activity bag with coloring pages, themed activities, crayons, and a snack to help keep them engaged throughout the service.
Check out all that is happening in the monthly Newsletter! If you are not signed up yet, complete the online form to receive them.
If you are interested in volunteering to help in our Kids Ministry, please fill out form here.

Passages for Kids & Families
Baptism
In this special family passage, each child is marked as God’s Beloved, just as Jesus was marked in his own baptism. This passage invites each of us to open our hearts to remember that God’s love and grace are present with each of us always. It also reminds us to have the wonder, the spontaneity, and the faith of a child.
If you are interested in baptism for yourself or a child(ren), please complete this form and someone will be in touch with you.
If you have already attended the baptism workshop in preparation for your child(ren)’s baptism, please complete this form so that we can capture all of the necessary information.
If you are an adult wishing to be baptized and have already spoken to the pastor, please complete this form.
Contact Marcela Jarman if you have any questions.
Bible Sunday
Every Fall, we invite your Kid Ministry kids to a special celebration here at Crossroads United Methodist Church! We believe in nurturing each child’s personal relationship with God. To support this, we celebrate Bible Sunday, where students in 3rd – 5th grade are gifted a Bible of their own to cherish and grow with.
Each Bible will be presented to the students by Pastor Tim, who has written a personal message and pre-signed every Bible. Pastor Tim will also lead a special prayer over the children, asking God to guide them and for the church to support them as they embark on their faith journey.
If your child has not yet participated in this meaningful celebration, we would love to include them! To sign up, simply email kids@crossroadsnova.org with your child’s full name, age, and grade.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. We look forward to celebrating this milestone in your child’s spiritual journey!
Crossover
Moving from Elementary School to Middle School is an important transition time for students, families, and their community. This is a time for families to recognize their child’s growing independence and offer a blessing of support and encouragement.
We celebrate how each child has been formed and continues to be shaped by their own innate gifts and unique story. Here at Crossroads, it is also a time of moving up from Children’s Ministries as a child to Student Ministries as an adolescent.
Contact Zander Conradie if you are interested in the next Crossover event.
