Small Groups

Join Us!

Welcome to Small Groups at Crossroads!

We encourage you to think about a small group that might fit where you are right now. Whether you decide to join an existing group or start a new one we want to encourage you to see the value and power of meeting with others to speak out loud your spirituality, to talk about your faith, to listen to others to better understand where they are, and where they are in their faith.

Check out the small groups meeting during Lent to read and discuss The Walk by Adam Hamilton.

Health & Wellness

Health & Wellness Ministry: In the Spirit of Caleb

We believe there were nutritional and physical components to the longevity and quality of Caleb’s life as indicated in the Bible. In the busyness of life today, people often make health secondary, when how we eat and care for ourselves should be a primary focus. Through this ministry our goal is to encourage and support the physical health of people in our church and the community.

Healthy Eating

It can be frustrating to hear vastly opposing views on “good” or “bad” foods and the “best” nutrition advice to follow.

Recommendations may change as more research is done, but accept that what works for one person may not be ideal for another. Read our issue of Thoughts on Healthy Eating by Cheryl Moxley, RDN.

Fentanyl Awareness and Training
Sunday, April 7, 1-2:00pm

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is 50-100x as potent as Heroin and Morphine. It is also the primary driver of the recent rise in opioid overdoses in Loudoun County and across the country.

Come hear Jennifer Evans, M.Ed, LPC, Director of Student Mental Health Services for LCPS share her knowledge, train us on what to look for and how to revive someone using Narcan. Narcan kits will be provided to those in attendance.

Register here.

Brooke Pascarella, who is an instructor with Sergeant’s Fitness Concepts, is offering free fitness classes for adults at Crossroads. The classes are 7-8pm.

May is National Physical Fitness and Sports Month

Physical activity is key to maintaining health and well-being. Getting active can improve fitness and reduce stress, reduce risk for many chronic diseases, and ease symptoms of anxiety and depression. Youth sports can help kids and teens get active and develop leadership, time management, and relationship-building skills.

Learn more about ways to be active from the US Department of Health and Human Services here.
