Friendship Bridge

Service Opportunities

Friendship Bridge is a mission that provides financial assistance to an individual or family within Loudoun County who is experiencing a temporary financial crisis. This mission partners with other local churches and organizations to pool resources if the need is greater than the Crossroads family can give alone. Friendship Bridge assists in areas such as paying someone’s rent, utility bills, car repairs, or filling much-needed participation.

Monetary donations and gift cards are always welcome and can be given online or during worship.

Kathy Mackrell

SERVE & MISSION DIRECTOR

I grew up in Vermont and graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in Animal Science.  I have been married to my husband Bill for 32 years. We have two grown daughters Allison & Christine. Both attended HOPE Preschool. Our family started attending Crossroads 20 years ago, the same year I started working here. My family and I are avid Washington Capitals fans and attend games whenever possible.

Something I am trying to get better at:Being in the moment and enjoying what is going on around me as it is happening.

A song I know by heart:I know most songs by the Avett Brothers by heart and would love to hang out with them and their families for one day or more if they will have me!

My favorite Bible verse:Psalm 118:24 – This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.
