SERVE - Opportunities for those in the community to serve in ways that they will encounter those on the margins. In doing so, we can renew our commitment to being good servants in the world, showing unconditional love and an unlimited welcome to all we meet. This will give us new vision to see each other equally. By providing acts of service, we can educate others about people and relevant issues in the world and gain compassion, forgiveness and wisdom. Ultimately this can lead to transformation, one person, one family, one community at a time.
SERVE provides opportunities for families and individuals to work together on service projects both local and global. Youth can collect service hours while becoming more active in community outreach. Together we can all become servants for justice and compassion.

During the school year, Crossroads has the opportunity to tutor at a DC Public School. We tutor at Payne Elementary School in Southeast DC, 68% of the students at Payne are designated at-risk and 30% are homeless. This year Crossroads had the opportunity to donate school uniforms for families that were unable to purchase the uniforms themselves. Learn more about Crossroads DC Tutors Mission.
I have been blessed to work at Crossroads now for 17 years! Over that time, I have had many roles. Currently, I am the SERVE director. I grew into this role through the many service and mission opportunities I have participated in here at Crossroads. Through those experiences I have learned that serving others and meeting people right where they are, is how transformation takes place! Read more
