Taking Steps Message Series October 12 – November 9, 2025

We set goals all the time—fitness goals, career milestones, dreams for our kids, financial plans. But what about our spiritual lives? Too often that part of us gets pushed to the side, even though it shapes everything else. In Taking Steps, we’ll explore what it means to set spiritual goals and discover practical ways to move forward in faith. Each week, you will have the opportunity to commit to taking the next step in your faith journey.
10/12 Worship – Psalm 150
Worship is our response to God’s love, an expression of devotion to the Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer of life. It reshapes our inner lives and realigns us with the life of Christ. Today, we’ll explore how worship works within us and what our worship communicates to God. To see this week’s commitment card, click here.
10/19 Grow – Philippians 3:4b-11
A strong sign of spiritual health is a holy dissatisfaction. The more we come to know God, the more willing we are to examine our own lives—and the world around us—with fresh eyes. This perspective invites us to rethink our priorities and, in doing so, opens us to a surprising peace far deeper than we ever imagined. To see this week’s commitment card, click here.
10/26 Serve – Matthew 25:31-46
Jesus has a remarkable way of showing up when we serve others. Discover how acts of service draw us closer to God’s presence and bridge the gap between faith and doubt. To see this week’s commitment card, click here.
11/2 Generosity – Malachi 3:5-10
Come hear the story of a prophet with both a protest and a promise. God is at work, inviting us into a life of generosity. Along the way, we’ll uncover the “pests” that get in the way and the doors that open when we choose to embrace God’s vision. This week’s commitment is completing your 2026 Estimate of Giving.
11/9 Share – 1 Thessalonians 5:12-18
As Thanksgiving approaches, gratitude is on our minds. But for Christians, gratitude is more than seasonal—it’s essential to how we share our faith. A thankful spirit not only transforms our own lives but also allows others to see God’s presence more clearly in theirs.
